Dhaka-- (UNB) – Trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange closed lower yesterday (Saturday) with the losers heavily dominating the gainers.

The DSE All Share Price Index shed 0.33 percent or 2.11 points to close at 640.15 points from Thursday’s 642.26 points.

The DSE-20 index also dropped by 7.79 points or 0.61 percent to close at 1269.14 points from Thursday’s 1276.93 points.

Of the 155 listed securities traded yesterday, 40 advanced, 89 declined and 26 remain unchanged.

Some 2,372,286 shares and debentures worth Tk 11.37 crore were transacted yesterday as against 2,975,257 scripts valued at Tk 11.68 crore on Thursday.

Bionic Food (130,000), Aims First MF (335,000), Chictex (114,500) Legacy Foot (286.500) and Miracle Industries (123,500) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood Tk 61.02 billion from Tk 61.22 billion on Thursday.
